Acne vulgaris is one of the most common skin disorder affecting susceptible hair follicles, most commonly found on the neck, upper trunk, and face. It is described by comedones (which are primary lesions of acne) that are both open and closed, and by cysts, nodules, pustules, and papules.
Another interesting new treatment, named Murad, does not use benzoyl peroxide which can dry out skin in some cases, to control acne. This unique solution does use sylicylic acid however, which is quite common. However, what makes it unique is that it uses hydrogen preoxide to help clean out the pores of bacteria. This is not common in most cleansers. This cleanser also combines hydrating agents and antioxidants in the skin to help keep skin soft and smooth as it should be.
It is said that about forty percent of the people will have a case that is serious enough to require some form of medical attention. The purpose of doing so is to control the condition so that it will not get worse. Also, by controlling the condition, the chances of scarring will be reduced.
